Put an image in your sidebar and link it to a site

Oh c’mon you’re looking for a way to put images in your sidebar. You know this one,i bet you do but you’re so lazy that you don’t want your brain to do the workout.

Any way here it is..

Do you see the image in my sidebar to the right, the animator one? Just look at its source and you’ll find it as

<p style=”margin-top:10px; margin-bottom:0; padding-bottom:0; text-align:center; line-height:0“><a href=”http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Srirajorg/~6/3″><img src=”http://feeds.feedburner.com/Srirajorg.3.gif” alt=”sriraj.orgstyle=”border:0“></a></p><p style=”margin-top:5px; padding-top:0; font-size:x-small; text-align:center“></p>

The first part of the above code is where i want that image to head for when someone clicks on it and thats the ‘a href’ part.

The second one is where i’ve uploaded that image.Just click on create a post and click on add media.Upload your image and save it.Copy its source and put it in the ‘img src’ part.

Now paste the entire code into the template where you want the image to appear for eg.your sidebar.

You need to make your theme writable and i guess you know that atleast,if not head here.

Thats all. You’re done with it.If you think that you brain couldn’t handle even this workout then there’s a plugin for you.Just download it and upload to plugins folder and activate it.Go to your widgets sections and use the plugin from there.

  3. Hi there,

I’m looking for a contributor for my project to create a plugin that replicates this capability but allows users to update the href=”" with their own feed locations.
    Are you interested?
