That Tata Docomo Ad of an Ashamed/ dejected Biker (for his slow speed) may have attracted you, but here are few conditions that you should know to get the advertised speed, 21.1 Mbps. You could also get the point just by going through these 3G data card tariff plans. For your convenience, here are the main conditions*:
1.The e-Stick works on Tata Docomo’s 3G Network and hence that speed of 21.1Mbps is only possible if you have Tata Docomo 3G in your area. If not, the age old EDGE speed is all what you get (which hovers around 200kbps in best conditions)
2.To get 21.1Mbps, you should subscribe to its highest tariff plan, which is Rs.2000 per monthly, that too, only if you take a Post paid connection.
3.Even for Rs.2000 per month plan, you will get such high speed only up to 15GB every month. For any usage above 15GB and below 30GB, your speed will be reduced to 128kbps and if you’re still not done for that month, you are only good for 10kbps.
Note 1: When I said ‘get 21.1Mbps’, you should understand that, that’s the maximum speed possible in their 3G network but not the speed that you will get. The same song applies here too, ‘speed depends on time of the day, number of concurrent users, etc, etc’.
Note 2: By using Tata Docomo e-stick, you only get Data and SMS. If you take that sim and put in your mobile, standard charges will apply that will be debited from your main account.
