Google advanced search options

You might have experienced this, you search for something but you get bogged down by seeing millions of sites that turn up and none of which are the one’s you’re looking for.
I bet you didn’t know about Google advanced search.
With Google advanced search tool you can precisely search for the sites you could be interested in.
There are various options available in an advanced search like:
- You can search for the site which has all the terms you searched for.
- You can search for a site of a certain language.
- You can search for a site that contains a particular file formats like .doc,.txt,.ppt,.xls,.rtf,.pdf etc.
- You can search for a site that was updated in a particular time period.
- You can search only a particular site by typing site:domain name of that site.
There are also many operators that can be used to fine tune your search. Some of them include,
- Synonym search: you can try searching including the synonym of your search word.
Just use the ~ operator before the search keyword. (e.g., ~blackcaps)
- By typing info:domain name, the search results in giving some information that Google has about that site.
- Use define:any word in the search box and get the meaning of that word.
- Use allintitle:your search keyword and the search results in displaying WebPages that contain all your keywords only in their title.
- Use allinurl:your search keyword and the search results in displaying WebPages that contain all your keywords in their URL only.
Try the advanced search now and get the results you need.
