Free SMS/Text alerts on you favorite news

Just like how Google provides text (SMS) alert services for free in India using Google SMS channels, Yahoo provides free alerts, to either your messenger ID or to your mobile as a text.

Visit Yahoo Alerts page, and select from a range of categories to get as many text alerts as you want in any day. You can select from Breaking news alerts, general daily news, Job alerts, Stock news, IPO news, Weather, Travel news or the latest news from your favourite team from NFL, NBA, EPL, NHL Hockey etc.

And if you are a webmaster or a researcher and want to be updated at the earliest with the latest happening in the world on your subject, you can choose the keyword alert option which alerts you as and when or once a day when any new news containing your keyword is found by the Yahoo bot.

In case you want to be updated with the latest news from your favourite blog/website, you may choose the feed/blog option.

Just enter the blogs feed address and any latest updates from then on will be delivered as an alert of your choice.

    It actually works.
    I was searching for the next match of Dolphins and though why not search for a service that can deliver latest news to mobile. Luckily, I found a free service in Yahoo alerts. Thanks.
