What is Google? A ‘Search Engine’ would be the most obvious answer. While that impression may take some years to change, here some thing different, that will give you another angle of Google, temporarily. Google has apparently tested a ‘CAR’ that can drive by it self. This self driven car is said to have traveled quite a few miles around the Google Head quarters in San Francisco, California.
Before letting the Self driven car by itself, a manned car was driven in the selected routes to capture the roads, signals, lane markers etc. Then, the self driven car that is stuffed with Video cameras’, Radar sensors and a laser range finder is sent in the same route. And it is said that the robot car has made its journey without any #fail incident.
Since this is still an experiment, a trained man is present in the car that can take over the control if anything goes wrong (you know, software isn’t any God). There is also another Software expert in the car who will look over the Software.
Google says that this experiment could well be the future of how the car’s are driven.
