It doesn't send SMS's when the feed is updated. Instead its sent in bulks. I have created a Google SMS channel for my Twitter RSS feed, just to keep track of my updates, (in case its hacked, I need to know..right..? ). I update some 100 updates a day, usually in one go. After all that, the SMS Chanel would send me only the latest update. So only 1/100 update is delivered. That means, if you get some 100 emails a day, you might get some 2 or 3 sms.
