NexGtv live TV channels on Mobile for BSNL MTNL (Price & subscription)

Having a BSNL/MTNL connection for your mobile, it seems, is not that bad. With the help of nexGtv (possibly meaning Next Generation TV), you can now watch live TV channels on your mobile phone. Obviously, a 3G capable handset is required since 2G phones are not Video streaming friendly.

How to subscribe?

You should send an SMS as ACT to 57776 or SUB to 52628 (either one) after which you will get a confirmation that service will be activated soon. Once activated, you will receive URL where you’ll be watching TV along with your login credentials.

Note: At the moment, watching live TV through nexGtv is only possible through a browser. Soon, they say, an application would be provided.

You will also have to change the APN settings. To access the URL (website link) provided to you in the reply message, you have to use the APN settings as:

Name: bsnlline

Proxy: 10.220.67.131

Port: 8080

For live streaming, use the APN: bsnlstream

Pricing and channels

You will only be charged for the channel subscription, streaming will be entirely free

To watch all the 52 channels available at present, the subscription charge is Rs.99 per month or Rs.35 per week or Rs.8 per day.

If you want to subscribe to any single channel, you can do that too. Your charges here will be Rs.40 per month or Rs.20 per week or Rs.8 per day.

Note: Not all channels that are present will be available for ‘Single channel subscription’. Some popular channels that you can subscribe to are: Mtv, Colors, UTV Bindaas, IBN7, CNN IBN, Headlines Today, CNBC TV18, UTV Movies, Aaj Tak, CNBC Awaaz, Bloomberg UTV.
