Beam Telecom, the new player in the Indian ISP industry makes its mark today by announcing its Broadband plans. It becomes the first ISP to provide FTTB technology. This means that you don’t need a Landline phone to get the broadband experience while Beam telecom brings the Fiber tube/cable right into your home premises, which they call it as Bi-Fi (Beam Internet on Fiber).
It has exclusive plans for Home and Corporate users with a speed of upto 20MBPS for corporates which is never heard of in India till now.
The basic plan for Corporate starts from Rs.3000 per month for which a data transfer of 20 GB is provided with a speed of 4mbps – 20mbps.
The Unlimited plan stays at Rs.40000 per month at a speed of 4mbps to 20 mbps.
Other charges and taxes are applicable apart from these broadband charges.
For Home users, the Unlimited plans start at only Rs.400 per month but the speed of which is only 96kbps. A 256kbps speed for Unlimited data transfer will cost you Rs.850 per month which is comparable with the private players in India but is still pricey compared to the State run BSNL.
If you are in need of Speed rather than unlimited data transfer, you can opt for Data transfer plans where you get a speed of 2mbps. The starting plan in this range is Rs.300 per month for which the data transfer limit (upload+download+browsing) is 1.2GB. A 4GB data transfer plan at 2mbps will cost you Rs.850 per month.
For all the above plans Installation charges will be applicable if you choose to pay monthly or half-yearly but no such charges will be applicable if you pay Yearly.
Installation is simple like any other cable broadband providers with the only difference being the Fiber. First they Install a BONT box in our home premises (Beam optical network terminator) from which Ethernet cables are connected to your computer. This BONT box can be seen similarly as a DP box which you may have heard in case of a DSL broadband.

We are very sorry to say that the beamtel broadband is very worst broadband service. After being installed we have used it for only few days, the rest of the days we faced several problems in connectivity . When we give complaint it will take 24 hours to solve it. The technical support is very worst and the concern technician respond very rashly. WE ARE VERY DISSATISFIED WITH THE BEAMTEL BROADBAND. Since twenty days there is no connectivity. Daily complaints are lodged but no use. BE WARE…. BEFORE YOU WANT TO TAKE CONNECTION THINK TWICE….

Beam cable is the worst service provider. It hardly online and service is poor. Even though you log unlimited complaints, there is very little and no response to the issue. Simply pathetic broadband service provider.
