Who would have thought of America making to the finals except the wild dreaming Americans? Anyway, they are in the final which is going to happen in few hours from now. Their opponents are the 5 time world champions and a 2 time Confederation cup champions, Brazil.
Before this match begins there is a play-off for the third spot between the Semi final losers, South Africa and Spain.
If one has to pick their team for the final, it would be Brazil hands down. But the way America defeated the European champions Spain 2-0 in the Semi final would surely make them think twice before saying Brazil as their favourites.
If we go back a week when America took on Brazil in a round robin match, America were completely out played by Brazil with 3 goals from Maicon, Robinho and Melo respectively. They can just repeat the same in the final but American team is in a different mood from then. The way it bounced back defeating Egypt 3-0 and then dumping Spain would have lifted their spirits sky high.
The Americans have nothing to loose in this Final and its the Brazilian team that has to do all the things to live up to the expectations. USA would surely take on this chance and prove a point to the world that there is a country called USA that can beat the champions Brazil in Soccer. After all, its a soccer match and the team that plays well in those 90 minutes emerges as the winner.
The players to watch out from the Brazil team are the playmaker Kaka, the Semi’s goal scorer Daniel Alves, Fabiano, Robinho and Melo. And for America it would be their trump card Landon Donovan who is the highest goal scorer for America.

My be it was the destiny of Brazil to win a 3rd Confederation cup. After having been behind US by 2 goals in the second half, the Brazilians came hard at USA to win the match 3-2.
Eventhough US lost this match the experiance they gain from this tournament would be enormous and I’m sure from next time in big events like this, the other top tier teams would be wary of this AMERICA.
