Mp3 ringtones for Nokia 6600

As we all know Nokia 6600 was the first of its kind mobile phone introduced to the world by Nokia Corporation. It redefined the features that a mobile phone should have. It has some fantastic features that the world has never seen before. But having said, that it also has many drawbacks and that understandable. No body expects to release a N97 or an Apple 3G in the first shot. Or atleast no body thought of such features being used in mobiles which those phones use today.

One such drawback with Nokia 6600 was its inability to play mp3 tones as ring tones. One good thing about Nokia’s Symbian platform is that it’s got wide compatibility. This means that future software’s could be easily molded into its previous versions. Following the lines, you can install mp3 plugins in your 6600 or any Nokia phone that cannot play mp3 ring tones by default. But remember to install the application in your phone memory and not your memory card (MMC).

It is tested for Nokia 6600 and it works fine. Although you can play mp3 ring tones, the sound will not be that loud in 6600 as its speakers are too small. To make a ringtone actually feel like a ringtone, you should set those songs as ringtones which atleast has a frequency of 256kbps. 320kbps would be excellent.
