UPSC NDA & NA (II) notification

UPSC has announced the date for NDA and NA (II) examination 2009, it is on 30.08.2009.

Applications can be obtained from all local head post offices (HPO) from 14.03.2009.

Last date of submission of application forms is 13.04.2009.

Age requirements:

Candidate must fall within the age group of 16-1/2 years to 19 years as on 01.07.2010.

Educational qualifications:

For the Army wing of NDA, candidate must be a 12^th standard pass in a 10+2 pattern of school education or its equivalent recognized by a state education board or a University.

For the Air force and Naval wing of NDA and for 10+2 (Executive branch) course at Naval academy, the candidate must be 12^th standard pass of 10+2 pattern of school education or its equivalent with physics and mathematics as the subjects conducted by a state education board or a University.

Students who are appearing for their 12^th exams under 10+2 pattern are also eligible to apply subject to some conditions.

How to apply:

Applications forms as mentioned above will be available in HPO from 14.03.2009. Forms can be obtained by paying Rs.20.

An exam fee of Rs.50 is payable only in the form of ‘central recruitment fee stamp’ which should also be purchased from the post office and get it cancelled after affixing in the appropriate place in the form.

No fee is required for candidates belonging to SC/ST.

The application form also contains an acknowledgement card on which the candidates must specify their postal address and affix Rs.6 stamps.

Duly filled forms should be sent to Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069 through normal/ speed/ register post/ in person before the last date 13.04.2009.

Candidates are advised to make a note of their application form numbers before dispatching the envelops.

Candidates must write ‘National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2009′ on the top of the envelop.

Educational qualification codes:

01: Passed 12th class of 10+2 pattern of school education or an equivalent examination but not having Physics and Mathematics together as subjects in Class XII

02: Passed 12th class of 10+2 pattern of school education or an equivalent examination with both Physics and Mathematics among the subjects.

03: Appeared/appearing at 12th class under 10+2 pattern of school education or an equivalent examination but not having Physics and Mathematics together as subjects in Class XII.

04: Appeared/appearing at 12th class under 10+2 pattern of school education or an equivalent examination with both Physics and Mathematics among the subjects.
