United India Insurance Company invites applications for the posts of Administrative officer (Scale I) in specialized disciplines of IT, Engineering and Generalists.
Total number of vacancies is 150 of which 21 are reserved to SC, 10 to SC, 41 to OBC and remaining 78 are un-reserved.
Educational qualifications: (As on 31.12.2008)
Candidates should apply to any one of the following groups only.
- Group A (Code: 01) – MCA (Masters in Computer Applications)/MIT (Masters in Information Technology)/ MCM Master in Computer Management) or BE (Computer Science/ECE).
- Group B (Code: 02) – Graduate in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) in the discipline of Electrical Engineering.
- Group C (Code: 03) – Graduate in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering.
- Group D (Code: 04) – Graduation with minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST candidates) marks in aggregate or 55% (50% for SC/ST candidates) in Masters from recognized University.
All degrees must be from recognized universities.
Preference will be given to candidates with post qualification experience in their area in case all things are similar.
Age requirements: (As on 31.12.2008)
Candidate must be between 21 and 30 years of age as on given date. 3 years relaxation is provided to OBC candidates, 5 years for SC/ST and 10 years for PH candidates.
Application details:
Applications must be neatly typed strictly in the given format and written in neat Capital letters.
A DD of Rs.500 must be drawn from any nationalized bank in favour of UNITED INDIA INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED payable at Chennai.
No fee is payable by SC/ST candidates.
Candidates must write their Name, Address, Group and Code no. at the back of the crossed Demand draft.
Pay scale:
Rs.11110/-540(14)-18,670-560(4)-20910 (Under revision)
Total monthly emoluments at the start of the scale will be approx. Rs.18000 pm.

You come under Group D and if you have the said min % in your masters, you can proceed.
I have done B.Sc.(IT) through Lateral entry scheme from a recognized university .As per the lateral entry scheme of the university one who has done 1-year Computer Course after 10+2 can get direct admission in 3rd Semester of B.Sc.(IT).in this way I completed my B.Sc.(IT). Then Am I eligible for Bank PO examination.Please do reply.
