Andhra Pradesh state police has announced a recruitment notification to recruit 1293 candidates as sub-inspectors of police.
The category wise distribution is 1100 stipend cadet trainee (SCT) SI of police (civil) (males), 169 SCT reserve SI of police (AR)( males) and 24 SCT reserve SI of police (APSP)(males).
Applications are invited from eligible candidates from February 25 to march 13
Applications will be issued from February 16 to march 13.
Eligibility: Candidates having a degree from any recognized university can apply for the post of sub-inspector of police.
Selection procedure:
Through a series of physical ability tests followed by a written test.
Physical tests include:
- A initial 5 kilometer run which should be completed in 25 minutes (* impossible without practice)
- A 100 meter sprint which should be completed in 15 seconds. (* easy)
- A long jump in which a candidate should jump a distance of 3.80 meters (* easy)
- A shot put throw which should be thrown a distance of 5.60 meters (* practice makes it easy)
- A high jump in which a jump of 1.2 meters is required (* practice) and
- An 800 meter run which should be completed in 170 seconds (* easy).

Written test for SI of police consists of 4 papers.
Paper 1: English (Descriptive) : 50 questions, 100 marks
Paper 2: Telugu (Descriptive) : 50 questions, 100 marks
Paper 3: Arithmetic, test of reasoning,
Mental ability. : 200 marks
Paper 4: General studies : 200 marks.
English and Telugu papers are only a qualifying paper and the marks in that section won’t count in making the merit list.
For OC, BC, ST/SC candidates the qualifying marks in these two sections are 40, 35 and 30 marks respectively.

Don’t you have 1 hour free time? Instead of asking others regarding your capability, just go out, run once and check if you can complete 5KM under 25 mins..

You need a Degree to apply to SI posts. With only SSC qualification, you are NOT eligible.

The cut off date for age is clearly mentioned as 1 July 2011. You haven’t attained 21 yrs by that date and hence rejected. Nothing much can be done now, except waiting for the next notification.

Yes there are 230 St Cadet Trainee SI posts exclusively for women. Your height is fine but I’m not sure about your eye sight. If you know your sight in snellen scale, then I can tell if you’re eligible or not. It must be 0/5 for both eyes in near vision and 6/6 for both eyes in distant vision.

That certificate should be issued by an officer not below the rank of MRO.
You can fill all the details yourself and get it signed by an MRO (or by officer of higher rank) at the bottom (signature, date, name in caps, designation & seal are officer’s details and must be filled by him)

First of all, complete your Engineering. You cannot apply to SI posts while you’re still studying. Regarding local status (I don’t know from how many years you’re staying in Hyd), you can apply any where but you’d have better chances of getting selected if you apply for your local zone.

It appears you haven’t yet completed 21 years, which is the minimum required for SI posts. However, you can apply for Station Fire Officer post which requires only 18 years. If you want to get in to mainstream Policing, you will have to wait for 1 more year.

Why don’t you see the notification instead of asking somebody?
If you belong to general or OBC category, you should have ‘completed’ your Degree by 1 July 2011. If you belong to SC/ST, you might be eligible since only Intermediate is the required qualification.

As given training 2 some of A.S.I’s overall state the hyd zone is excepted in giving promotions than other areas in state, after training immediately should be given Posts but it’s not been implemented. The people who trained is suffering to continue in same post after all they trained. Requested to give promotions speedily

I already replied once. I said you to ask your management if they will allow you to exit the course after 4 years (2 years from now) with only a B.Tech degree.
If they allow AND give you the B.Tech certificate, you should be eligible for the selections.

You will have to complete your BTech degree to be eligible for the selections.
I’m not sure how the Integrated courses work. You get to do the Masters along with your Bachelor’s, is that the way?
In that case, I don’t think you will be allowed to get out of the course with only a Bachelor’s degree. Ask your Management regarding this.

At present SSC is conducting a recruitment for SI’s and last date for submission of Application is June 26. I recommend you to visit SSC website and there you can find the notification and selection details.
As far as I know, there will be a physical test first, followed by a written test and Personal Interview (this is as per AP state police. But SSC may conduct it differently though).

Sir iam qualify in all the physical tests but not qualify in written exam only so how many marks does i want to got a police job can u tell basically iam OC student so iam confusing the marks
Is it possible to how many marks you need to get to qualify? I don’t think so.
It all depends on how many people appear for the test, how many vacancies are available and how many reserved vacancies are in those available vacancies.
So all you can do is to prepare well for the next written test not worrying about the past things.

There is currently no notification for the recruitment of circle inspectors. However you may be promoted as a CI if you perform well as an SI for which a recruitment is going on now.
