Ashish,

Im glad you are one among the blessed people who has a good command on the lang (English). That doesnt allow you to look down on peolple who are not as lucky as you. The least you could have done is adviced Mr Hemanth, places where he could improve his English. you have jus Negatively motivated him to acheive something that is Impossible according to you.

Hemanth,

Kinldy Donot lose hope. Get yourself enrolled with a proper tutorials. Nothing is impossible.

Reply

There are in total 75 vacancies but the number of reserved seats for backward classes will not be mentioned by UPSC, they are fixed by the Govt.
So the number of vacancies for general category cannot be said.

can you please tell how many candidates approximately appear usually for this exam every year

Reply

sriraj February 24, 2009 at 11:29 am

If we take the average from 2000-2008 it will be around 60000 srikanth.
This year, you can expect 100000 applications.
But all those who applied will not be taking the written test.
Again if go by previous years statistics only 50% of applied students appear for written test.
