APPSC Group-2 services notification

Andhra pradesh public service commission invites applications for the posts under Group -2 services. Total number of posts is 465 (See update at the end of this article) in which Executive posts are 296 and 169 are non-executive.
The details of the above posts with educational qualifications, scale of pay, age requirements are as follows:
Executive posts:
Deputy Tahasildar in AP Revenue Sub. Service:
Number of vacancies: 67
Age as on 1.07.2008: 18-39 (Govt orders awaiting on the max age limit)
Scale of pay: Rs.7770 – 18575.
Educational qualifications: A bachelor’s degree from any recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
Municipal Commissioner – Grade III in AP Municipal Commissioner Sub. Services:
Number of vacancies: 08
Age as on 1.07.2008: 18-39
Scale of pay: Rs.8385 – 19125.
Educational qualifications: A bachelor’s degree from any recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
Asst. Commercial Tax officers in AP commercial Tax Sub. Services:
Number of vacancies: 60
Age as on 1.07.2008: 18-39
Scale of pay: Rs.7770 – 18575.
Educational qualifications: A bachelor’s degree from any recognized university or an equivalent qualification and physical requirements mentioned in the official online notification.
Prohibition & Excise Sub inspectors in AP prohibition & Excise Sub. Services:
Number of vacancies: 100
Age as on 1.07.2008: 18-30
Scale of pay: Rs.6675- 15500.
Educational qualifications: A bachelor’s degree from any recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
Extension Officer in AP Panchayat Raj & Rural Employment Sub services:
Number of vacancies: 61
Age as on 1.07.2008: 18-39
Scale of pay: Rs.8385 – 19125.
Educational qualifications: A bachelor’s degree with Economics or commerce from any recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
Non-Executive posts:
Assistant Section officers (Finance Dept) in AP secretariat sub. Services:
Number of vacancies: 26
Age as on 1.07.2008: 18-39
Scale of pay: Rs.6675- 15500.
Educational qualifications: A bachelor’s degree with Economics and commerce from any recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
Assistant section officer (Legislative Dept) in AP legislature sub. Service:
Number of vacancies: 15
Age as on 1.07.2008: 18-39
Scale of pay: Rs.6675- 15500.
Educational qualifications: A bachelor’s degree from any recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
Senior accountants in AP Treasuries & Accounts Sub. Services:
Number of vacancies: 75
Age as on 1.07.2008: 18-39
Scale of pay: Rs.6195- 14175.
Educational qualifications: A degree in commerce or Economics or Mathematics from a recognized university or an equivalent degree and Pass in any of the following certificate courses Examination conducted by the Board of technical Education and Training, Hyd, AP.
a.) Office Automation
b.) PC Maintenance and trouble shooting.
c.) Web designing.
Or
A degree in B.C.A or B.Sc (computers) or B.Com (computers) or B.A (computers) from any recognized university or an equivalent degree.
Only online applications are entertained. The website link for online application will be opened on 25.03.2009 (See update below) and closed on 16.04.2009 (last date for online application)
Go to apspsc.gov.in to apply online.
After filling all the required details, the application and a challan will be available to download. Candidates are advised to keep a copy of the downloaded application.
Using the challan pay the amount mentioned in it at any branch of State Bank of India.
Update: A supplementary notification was issued by the APPSC board adding few extra vacancies in Executive and Non executive posts. Visit this page to read about the Group 2 supplementary notification and also the new dates to apply online.

My name is praveen kumar having graduation B.E in Electronics and Communication. I worked as Software engineer for nearly 3 years in bangalore and chennai. Recently I met with an accident and I was taken sick leave. Now my left hand is not active and no movement in left hand.I got physically handicapped certificate(60%) from government hospital, Kurnool, A.P.
I am planning to apply for government jobs. I am not getting the proper way in choose the government job which is suitable for me. Can you please guide me in choosing the government jobs? So that I can prepare for that.

The online application process has just finished and it’ll take time to conduct the written test. First the candidates whose applications are subject to be rejected will be put up for challenge in coming months and then slowly, the call letters will be dispatched which will have the written test date with venue.

When I looked at the schdeule also 38/2008 is reffered as postphoned.could you please clarify whethere they have taken applications or not yet?Thanks in advance

Group 1 application process is very recently finished and the online application process of Group 2 will begin shortly in a week or so (see date mentioned above)

There is nothing to download. It’s an online application. You have to apply online (by visiting http://www.apspsc.gov.in) and then fill up the details. The application may not be available now but it will be there once the opening date comes by.
Hi Siraj i was checking out for group 2 but i think till now there is no notification regarding it can u help me out when they are going to publish them , can u update me the current status of group 2
The notification for Group 2 has already been announced and the online applications for it will commence from October 1st.

i am deepti. I want to appear for GrpII of 2009 notification. I dont know any details like application date submission last date etc.,. When i visitied http://www.apspsc.gov.in/, i found Group II is in the list below:
“List of Online Applications to be Announced Later :
It is hereby informed that the submission of below Applications ON-LINE have been postponed due to administrative reasons. Revised dates will be announced in due course.”
But i could understand from your answers for previous blogs that GrpII notification is already closed. Is it so? I will be extremely disappointed if it is., I request you to provide me maximum of details regarding this “dates” like., application notification last date, submission last date, any other u know.,

I have read all the above msgs and ur replies to them, i appreciate ur effort in replying to most of the queries and giving correct guidance to them. Sir, since the Group 1 application process has begun, it wud give very helpful to most of us, if u could give information about the syllabus and which coaching center in hyderabad to attend as well as what book to follow and where to possibly get them, regarding the coaching center’s could u please reply as to who is the best and how much do they charge, timing etc, wud really appreciate a reply from u. Thank U.
Regarding Coaching centers – That would be a very difficult job for since I don’t belong to Andhra Pradesh state. Your Knowledge/choice would be as good as mine at least in this regard.
Regarding Syllabus- I’ll soon write an article on that with detailed syllabus for Group I exams.

by reading above msgs, is this notification of group that has been postponed ? Notification no. 38/2008. Actually i want to apply for the services, but i crossed 30 years age. Is that 39 age limit is applicable for group 2 as well. And can u please tell me your forecast of group 2 announcement. I am in other country now, and would like to plan visit to india accordingly, though i can apply online.
Is this group1 and 2 notification s will be issued every couple of years ?

Applications for Group 1 are currently going on and Group 2 will commence as and when the results of last years Group 2 exam are out.
And regarding Group 1 and Group 2 exam conducting every year, well it should happen every year if we ought to go by the rules, but you know Govt is itself the rule these days. So no guarantee that there will be recruitments every year.
Regarding Age for Group 2, the notification should be released in a week or two from now, when you’d get a clear picture.
