great reply, but simple 1 i want to knw is, allotment circles we can choose anywhere in andhrapradesh? i mean five circles i can choose any districts?
Circles are states of the country and not district of a state.
So if your state is AP, then you can give your first preference to it and then choose may be the south states as your next option, that is if you want to be close to your state.
Go through the annexure A in the advt for list of circles available.

Will u plz help me out regarding(CHOICE OF ALLOTMENT CIRCLES). that is we should mention five circles if not last 6th circle should in anywhere in india.i.e, 11th point in application form.
IM really confused that allotment circles & examination centre circles are the same?

Examination centers are the once’s where you wish to appear for the written test and allotment circles are the places where you wish to put in your service, if selected, and that’s why ‘anywhere in India’ option must be executed.

Sanny, you can contact the BSNL address to which you’ve sent the application.Many applicants are also in the same dilemma whether to self attest or attest by an officer as no specific information is provided in the advt.

JTO 2008 is correct but there seems to be confusion regarding attestation. Although some people are self attesting, majority of them got it attested by an officer.

SO where should i send my application form. If i send it in Hyderabad then i would get to write the exam in hyderabad only. And my preferances would be Starting from Maharashtra am i correct.

Many applicants say that the photo must be attested by a gazetted officer, if so, it must be so.

Not necessary. Ony apprentice training (if undergone in BSNL) and PH certificate(if applicable) are necessary

If it is said to get attested, you have to attest it.
Now what you can do is to, approach the DGM in your city to which you’ve sent the application and ask the whole application to be cancelled (Which I think will be done anyhow, but just to make sure there are no 2 applications), and then apply again with a photo attested.

Its given as 2008 in the advt but the very name of the advt link is jto2009. So I’m assuming it to be a typo. So please confirm before submitting. Inconvenience is regretted.

There was no information on Interview in the advertisement.So it would be better of asking this question to current JTO working in BSNL. Try searching in orkut for JTO community.
Sir,for Choice of Circle of allotment ,there are two BSNL places in chennai,so can i allot those two places in choice 1 and choice 2 and rest choices for other states.

Yes there is a big difference between OBC and BC. If your community is BC then mention BC and if you also know your sub-community, better to mention it too.

If you belong to BC then take you BC certificate which specifies your sub-category i.e. BC-A, BC-B etc.

One of the user replied that it should be attested by a gazetted officer. She said she saw that in one of BSNL office.
So I cannot confirm.

State to which you “belong” and not where you want to write.

I know you have answered so much questions about filling the form. But please clarify my this doubt. Why it has been stated that “Original advertisement or photocopy should not be used…”? Why are they insisting to type the form by us? And one more thing, while typing the form whether the text gien n brackets should be cut? Pleaseee send me a reply, since im in very confused state.

Not required.
It is only for those guys who did their apprentice in BSNL.
If you are unsure about the exam, its better to pick the optionals that are ‘close’ to your graduation subjects.

Hi,, For BSNL JTO Exam DD of 750 can i take private Bank like CITI Bank or ICICI Bank or only in Nationlised Bank
You can take DD from ICICI bank but it is always advised to take from PSU like SBI, PNB, BoB etc.
Just to make you clear, even ICICI bank is a nationalized bank but is a private bank. Understand the difference?

Photos are normally self attested. Just sign across the photograph with pen (But be sure to confirm this before you proceed)
