Andhra pradesh police SI, constable recruitment

Andhra Pradesh police invites applications from eligible candidates for the posts of SI’s and constables.

There are a total of 509 vacancies combined for SI’s and constables.

• Stipendiary cadet trainee (SCT) Sub inspectors of police (communications)- Post code 31 – 12 vacancies.
• Stipendiary cadet trainee Sub inspector of Police (Men) in police Transport organization – post code 32 – 5 vacancies.
• Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Assistant Sub Inspector of Police in Finger Print Bureau – Post code 33 – 57 vacancies.
• Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables (Communications) – Post code 34 – 59 vacancies.
• Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables (Mechanics) (Men) in Police Transport Organisation – Post code 35 – 8 vacancies.
• Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables (Drivers) (Men) in Police Transport Organisation – Post code 36 – 69 vacancies.
• Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables (Civil) (Women) – Post code 37 – 200 vacancies.
• Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables (AR) (Women) – Post code 38 – 99 vacancies.

The number of vacancies is only tentative and is liable to a change.

Age requirements:

For post codes 31, 32 and 33 candidate must attain the age of 21 years as on 01.07.2009. Candidate must also be not more than 25 years as on the given date.

For post codes 34, 35, 36, 37 and 38 candidate who are on duty as Home Guard for a minimum duration of 360 days within a period of two years and who is still continuing his service as Home Guard, must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years as on 1^st July, 2009 i.e., must have been born not earlier than 2^nd July, 1979 and not later than 1^st July, 1991 Or

must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 22 years as on 1^st July, 2009 i.e., must have been born not earlier than 2^nd July, 1987 and not later than 1^st July, 1991.

Age relaxations are applicable as per rules.

Educational qualifications:

For post code 31, candidate must have a diploma in Electronics and communications engineering or its equivalent as on 01.07.2009.

For post code 32, candidate must have a diploma in either electrical or mechanical engineering or its equivalent as on 01.07.2009.

For post code 33, candidate must have a degree in computer science or B.C.A or its equivalent as on 01.07.2009.

For post code 34 and 35, candidate must have a tenth class pass certificate or its equivalent.

For post codes 36, 37 and 38, candidate must be an Intermediate pass or its equivalent.

The application form (Rs.10) will be available in all district police officers office from June 22.

Applications completely filled will be accepted from July 6 and will end strictly on 18 July 5PM.
