RRB ALP and ASM results

Now that the exams for RRB Assistant Loco pilot and Assistant Station master is over on June 6 and June 13, 2010 respectively, candidates will be waiting for the results. Generally, for any centralized RRB recruitment exam, it will take at least 2 months from the date of written test for the results to be announced. So the results for Assistant station master and Assistant Loco Pilot exam should come out in the month of August 2010, if every thing is normal that is. But unfortunately, everything does not seem to be normal for these RRB recruitment exams. Recent reports suggest that the CBI has un-earthed a huge scam made in this recruitment exam. Son of RRB Mumbai Chairman, employee of Andhra Pradesh Government Health department are among those involved in the multi crore scam.

Job applicants were asked to pay as much as Rs.3.5 lakhs to get the question paper of the written test and were asked to submit their original certificates untill the money was paid. Huge amounts of money were recovered from those convicted in Mumbai and Hyderabad.

If something like this happens, history tells that the delay in announcing results could be very long, as long as 6 months or until the court case is finished.

After the results are announced, successful candidates will be called for certificate verification (in addition to top merit candidates, 30% extra candidates will be called as a stand by) where are original certificates will be verified. After this, all the recommended candidate have to go through a medical fitness test, only after which the candidate will be appointed either as a Assistant Loco Pilot or Assistant Station Master.
