Paying AP electricity bill online

Here are the different ways to see and pay your APCPDCL (AP Transco, Hyderabad Power) electricity bill online.

Through APCPDCL Website

Visit www.apcentralpower.com and find the link to pay you electricity bill online on the right side. Click on that link and fill in the details (ERO and Service number). Through APCPDCL, the service of online payment is only available for the residents of Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medak, Nalgonda, Anantapur, Kurnool and Mahabubnagar.

This way, you can pay your bill by using any credit card of Net Banking for the supported Banks.

Through AP Online

Visit https://secure.aponline.gov.in/ . You will need to register your profile before you can make payments. Do so and make your payments using credit card or Net banking.

Through your Internet Banking account

If you have an Internet Banking account, you can directly pay your monthly bills through that account by registering AP Transco as a biller. Different banks have different methods of registering companies as billers. Contact your Branch for more information.

Generally , all you have to do is find a link (inside your Internet banking account) that says ‘Pay bills’ and follow the on screen instructions. You’ll also need to enter few details regarding your electricity connection such as the name in which the bill will be sent monthly, ERO and Service numbers etc. Once you have provided those details, your request will be sent for AP Transco for approval and from the next month, e bills will be sent to your Internet Banking account (you’ll continue to receive the paper bills though).

Although it takes sometime to verify your request through this way, this is the cheapest way to pay your electricity bill as you’d not be required to pay any extra amount over your actual bill, which may not be the case with the other two options.
