In order to serve their customer more efficiently, LIC of India has introduced a new SMS system where customers can enquire about their Policies and Individual Pension policies (IPP) with just an SMS.
SMS enquiry regarding Individual Pension Policy
Type LICPension<Policy number>STAT/ ECDUE/ ANNPD/ PDTHRU/ AMOUNT/ CHQRET and send it to 56677.
Where STAT stands for Policy Status
ECDUE stands for Existence certificate due
ANNPD stands for Last Annuity released date
PDTHRU stands for the type of payment used for Annuity payment (for example, Cheque, ECS or NEFT)
AMOUNT stands for Annuity amount
CHQRET stands for cheque return information
For example, if you want to know your Individual pension policy status, type
LICPension 820329923 STAT and send it to 56677
Note: 820329923 is assumed as some policy number.

Type ASKLIC<Policy number>PREMIUM/REVIVAL/BONUS/LOAN/NOM and send it to 56677
Where PREMIUM stands for Instalment premium under policy
REVIVAL stands for revival amount payable if the policy is lapsed
BONUS stands for Bonus amount vested
LOAN stands for amount which you can take as Loan
NOM stands for Nomination details
For example if you want to know the amount available as loan, type
ASKLIC 820329923 LOAN and send it to 56677.
