If you are an Agent of LIC of India, it may be useful to you to provide additional service to your customers by informing them about their status regularly, or at least, when ever they ask so. Most agents simply forget about their previous customers once the policy work is completed. If you are not such an Agent, then here is how you get access to your customers’ policy status any time using the LIC Login portal.
Go and contact your SDM Secretariat today to get your login credentials; username and password. Using those, you can login to LIC portal and register your customers’ policies and keep informing them about their status including dues, next premium payment date, maturity date etc. After all, you get some commission for further premium payments too.
Apart from just the money factor, it also builds trust among your customers. If they feel that you care about their well being, then for sure they are going to recommend you to more friends’ and families or theirs. A dedicated and responsible agent will consider providing such service as part of his duty. On the other hand, an average agent will simply concentrate on selling more policies forgetting the benefits of keeping in touch with existing policy holders.
You should note that you should have a valid license to be able to log in to the portal. Also, you can only register policies that are opened through your agency.
If you are Development Officer (DO), unlike Agents, you can instantly see the policy status of any LIC Policy just by keying its policy number.
Note: If you are not an agent but simple a policy holder and want to check your policy status, you can do so by registering your lic policy at the customer portal. You do not have to depend on your agent to know about your policy.
