We’ve mentioned earlier on how to get Birth certificate in Hyderabad city region. After applying, your application goes to the concerned municipal corporation for verification of details and printing of certificate. It then goes to the Sub-registrar (medical officer) for his/her signature and then will be made available to you. You can either apply through e-Seva or online. For all this to happen, it normally takes around a week’s time.
To avoid the delay, the corporation is considering digitizing the signature of the registrar and issuing the certificate immediately. This means that as soon as you submit your application, you will receive the birth certificate.
The corporation has been recording births in the city region from 1932 onwards of which most part is already computerized.
During the first phase, the corporation will issue birth certificates for those who are born between 2007 and 2011 immediately. In the next phase, after uploading and double checking all the details, certificates of those who are born between 1957 and 2007 will be made instantly available.
The re-verification of details of births between 2007 and 2011 is currently going on and is expected to be completed by 15 october after which, you can go and get your kids birth certificate instantly.
