The results of Ed.Cet 2011, which was conducted earlier this month were released by the organizers (OU) and around 97% of candidates qualified in the entrance for B.Ed. Highest pass percentage was seen in Mathematics, followed by Physical science, Biological science, Social Studies and English.
Among these 5 specializations, Social Studies was the crowd favourite, which was taken by 99608 candidates (89300 qualified). Biological science was the next favourite where 56897 candidates appeared and 53209 candidates qualified. The least favourite subject was English, which was taken by just 4532 candidates out of whom 4103 candidates qualified.
Counselling is estimated to commence from third week of July. There are around 615 B.Ed colleges in the state adding to almost 65000 seats.
Rank cards, which are required at the counselling stage, will be sent to successful candidates from 27 June 2011 through post. In case any candidate fails to receive his/her rank card before his counselling date, they can download duplicate rank card from EdCet 2011 website at edcet2011.com
