Election Commission, chapter of Andhra Pradesh, is giving another opportunity to get in to electoral rolls for those of you who don’t yet appear there. And those of you who have to re-apply to correct any mistakes in your voter ID card, you also have another opportunity.
New voters, who will age 18 by 1 January 2012, are eligible to apply in this session. The following is the schedule announced by the EC:
1 October 2011: EC will release the existing voter rolls
1 Oct – 1 November 2011: Time to register (new voters) or make corrections (existing voters)
2 Nov – 1 December: Verification of applications
1 December – 31 December: Updating of database/ issuing of new voter ID cards/supplementary voter list publication
5 January 2012: Publication of final electoral rolls.
