method to solve possibility question of syllogism is very easy
first of all u should draw the all possible diagram which is true for all statement
then look the conclusion if it is true in any diagram then u can say that possibility is true

i completely acgree with suman. in english the cutoff remains very less compared to other sections.but why are u saying that english is of 25 marks only.it still contain 50 marks.25 objective+25 descriptive. overall it will help those candidates who are not good in english.because marks are divided in 2 parts.and one more thing the paper would be of good level specially maths and reasoning.so start prepare these sections intentionally.

look firoz in english if you score at least 30%-40% you’re through…cut off is very low for english in PO..and in ibps if you score around 10 out of 25..u have done a good job…you can easily see the data given in union bank of india website.

marks of clerical exam which was held on 6 feb 2011 . its kindly request to all
friend pls go through the union bank website and know ur weakness
. why i am saying that becoz cut off mark is very low and we all are capable to do this

I have OBC certificate issued in year 2009 & 2011, but during interview for SBI associates they asked for OBC certificate issued in 2010. But how could i produce the certificate of 2010, is it possible they can verify the or validate truthfulness of caste by any other way.
@ ravi don’t worry bro.just concentrate on interview preparation. u can submit the same during the joining time.bcoz by that time they would also check the truthfulness of the certificates u have provided them but this should be made of before the required date.by the way i m also selected in obc from raj. and interview is io 26 at jaipur.best of luck for your obc interview.

this is the problem of our system.everybody has his/her strong and weak points.but the ibps is not thinking in your way.so u have to go with the system provided to you and should try 2 work hard in other sections esp. g.k. and computer.as far as sectional cutoff is concerned it would be there.and one more thing in the ibps they would select the candidates on the level of que.(i mean the toughness of the que.)they tried.so now if someone want to succeed in bank po exam he/sud not only score good but also trying 2 do as many as difficult que.as possible bcoz then only he/she sure about the selection

well bro. i also applied for the cbi clerk exam.however i got the positive result and selected in written for raj. in general category.anyway if u want to know your scorecard thru rti you can write down to the cpio of the central bank of india.just go to the official site of the bank and in the rti section u will get the required address.they will send u your score card once the whole recruitment process is over.

yes u are right.there are so many speculation around is that how many of clerk vacancies is sbi recruiting but i think the official notifications will be given after associate sbi final result.further the vacancies which are expected to come is around 15000 not 20000.

hey friends when will obc declare interview date. m frustrated waiting 4 it 4 quite a long time.written exam result was declared in 5 long months and now another month only for declaring interview date.this is quite frustrating.they are simply playing with the careers of the hardworking aspirants.quite shameful.
i got the joining letter from punjab and sind bank, they have called me in kolkata on 4th july to complete some formalities and to tell about the posting.

@yogesh:you passed on 29th may and they want from June 1 and u have your mark sheet mentioned June 2011(no date mentioned)so why are u fearing..go and apply.they doesn’t bother when u got your mark sheet or pass certificate…u r eligible but if u have still doubt you may contact hrd of sbi.

the syllabus for common exam has not been declared officially.but there are speculation around which suggest that it is more or less going to remain the same.in clerical exam they might force an end to c.a. section as everyone is doing almost all the que. with full accuracy and marketing/computer and socio-economic and financial awareness section is suppose to b there in the paper.so overall if u are preparing for bank exam for sometime u won’t see much of the changes in the exam.so keep working hard without thinking too much about the syllabus.

from which state u applied for corp. bank clerk.look dear your attempts are fine except maths.but it all depends on your accuracy & the no. of seats in that particular state and of course your category. in fact last year corp. bank cutoff was also not that high.so don’t worry.u will rock.

so far whatever info. we got states that common exam will be conducted twice in an year for po exam and thrice for the clerk exam.after u clear the exam a scorecard will b given to u through which u can apply for bank jobs.this scorecard will be valid for one year.the logic behind the common exam is that it will reduce the overall recruitment time to almost 1/3 to what it takes in the present format.

in most of the bank exams on giving a right answer they give u one mark whereas in wrong answer 1/4 marks is deducted and in the whole scorecard they convert it into the nearest integer.eg. if u get 122.25 marks they will give u as 122 marks but if u get 122.75 marks they will approximate it into 123 marks.i hope u got your answer.

@ravinder well bro they haven’t mentioned it in the information booklet.this is the que.which is confusing many of the aspirants.so i would advise u to prepare for the negative marking and before attempting the questions in the exam just read out the instructions as they surprised the candidates in the recently concluded po exam by not going for the negative marking so prepare well and hope for the best.

don’t worry you have to fill an undertaking form in examination hall it will be provided by
the bank in which u have to mention ur name categ, amount of fee and branch name of bank also u have to mention deposit date of fee.

RTI means RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT..we can get marks secured in written as well as in interview..u will have to send an application to CPIO of the bank with required fee and within one month they will send u the reply…every bank has RTI inf. on their website..proforma can be downloaded from net..

Se Yogesh there is no magic stick for time management you have to solve more and more in order to do so. In BOB i will suggest you to solve questions in this order
Reasoning
Clerical Aptitude
Maths
English
Computer & Socio Economic
This is because reasoning is carrying highest marks then CA and maths have same value so first solve all questions of CA to increase your marks and your confidence then solve all questions of English, then computer then Socio economic.
Here this is a probable chance to have some wrong answers in socio economic so solve it at last.
2Hrs 20 minutes is enough time to solve all questions but dot solve any questions with error.

i knew that my attempts in maths is low in dena bank but i would like to say that eng section was bit difficult n so it consumed my most of time.. that y m asking u what should i do in BOB if eng section comes difficult? i know that my blog is lengthy but i shall be so kind of u if u guide me as elder brother

see at this time most of bright candidates are selected in various exams so they will not come so that exam so if you attempt between 80-90 % correct questions you have very bright chances.

See BOB clerk’s Socio Economic paper never has any definite portion. Last years some questions are
1.) Where the previous Winter Olympics were played?
2.) Which document is required for coming back to home country from any other country?
3.) What is financial Inclusion?
and so on
See, questions will be just simple but twisty type. I was Selected last year’s BOB Clerical.

See Firoz you are telling 90% which is great enough to get final selection from any state if all questions are correctly solved. In recent Indian Bank Clerk exam final cutoff in Bihar State was 181/200 of written (Excluding Interview marks). See first you check how accurate you are about solving questions.

See Abhijit you have done satisfactory in Math, Reasoning and English but you have done few question in computer and GS. Cutoff of union bank will go very high because questions was easiest seen ever and no of seats are also very less in every state.

see abhijit, first of all you will definitely get selected because united bank is that bank which declares 5-6 lists regarding recruitment. At present los of candidates are selected in Bank of India, Syndicate PO and various other banks; surely they will not come to take joining.
Second good thing that you are from west bengal, this state has a regional language. lots of candidates those are from other state and don’t know the regional language will perhaps not get selected due to regional language cause because in WB United bank is highly present in rural area. 17 candidate under my knowledge have called for interview; they are from jharkhand.
So, moral of story Don’t worry You will definitely get selected in this exam, expect yourself in first list, but believe me your attempt is OK for selection.

I started my preparation on 11th August 2009. I given total 12 Exams out of which i cleared 8. Due to poor preparation i disqualified in Union Bank (2009) & Corporation Bank (2009), In Allahabad Bank (2010) due to poor performance in Descriptive Section and in Canara Bank (2010).

1.) About Yourself
2.) Meaning of your Name
3.) About Your Native Place
4.) Reason of Poor marks in +2, if anyone has
5.) What is Bank? Is it Industry or Social Service
6.) What are products of bank
7.) About Bank for which you are giving Interview (Not Very Deeply, Generally about CMD and logo etc. )
8.) About Recent News (Never say cheap and negative news of your city; always give answer of national level ie; political, business etc)
9.) One or Two simple regarding Your Graduation
Questions type of Bank Rate, Repo rate are never asked because they also know very well that candidate is coming with full knowledge of this. Business of banks are also not asked.
See Sanju i had attempted all 200/200 questions on that exam and my interview was also very good.
One more thing Days of Low Attempts are over. Now every candidate in every state is coming with Hard & fool proof preparation. Days of Weak Competitors and 35-40 questions are over now.
There is no result below 90% in Today’s date of competition.
Don’t Prepare well; PREPARE VERY WELL

i never said tat i had doubt over the selection process..but i was so sure that i will be selected..i know if my interview was so good then i might have done my written poorly..moreover vacancy were few..by filing rti i can get my marks.after analyzing i wont repeat tat mistake again..banks are not declaring marks..so one will never know where he/she stands..just to check my position i am filing rti..nothing else.anyways best of luck 4 ur future..one really gets frustrated when he is expecting positive result.
Hi Suman and anon i want to tell you something regarding BOI Final Result and RTI. My dear friends its good that you are trying to get marks through RTI; its appreciable, But don’t keep any doubt regarding selection process. If you are not selected surely it means that someone other’s marks was more than you, nothing more. Recruitment process is 24 Caret Fair and merit is the only key for success. Definitely if you think that you had given level best interview then surely your written could have poor.
I am also selected in Bank of India, i got this selection after 5 Written, you can easily imagine about my mental condition, specially i was out of my self control when i was not selected in Bank of Baroda, Syndicate Bank and Indian Bank. In two out of them i was not selected due to language problem and in one due to poor marks in Written.

RTI means RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT..wee can get marks secured in written as well as in interview..u wil have to send an application to CPIO of the bank with required fee and within one month they will send u the reply…every bank has RTI inf. on their website..proforma can be downloaded from net..

reasoning 47/50 95% accuracy (out of 75 marks)
maths 30/50 95% accuracy (out of 50 marks)
c.a. 45/50 with 99.9 % accuracy (out of 50 marks)

I knew that i did not well in maths but let me tell u that the exam pattern was bit different this time so i gave more time in reasoning . n one thing more that English section was difficult . now please tell me is there any chance to get a interview call …..

why bank’s pay scale is so less?being undertaking of central government..why the salary is so less…specially for clerical..one should be getting at least 16k(in hand).its tough to balance oneself with 12k only in this expensive market..guys plz comment on this

your attempt should be above 90% with 90-95% accuracy.

hi sanjana, look if we are able to solve 45 in maths and 45 in reasoning then it’s more than enough. what we have to just keep in mind that our accuracy is more than 95%. then it will surely lead to an interview call. if we can’t increase our speed then we can increase our accuracy….. what do you think ??

Like that. Its not original question, but neight X,Y or any special instruction for finding values was not given.
I Seen that question more than 3-4 times but nothing was seen about determining values.
