Unlike Hyderabad, where the Traffic Police Challan system is made available online so that users can check if they have any challan against them, people in Delhi will only know the cases pending against them once the Challan arrives at their residence address (address according to the Vehicle Registration number).
Once you receive that Challan, you can either pay the fine by Cash or through a Cheque/ DD. You can pay the fine at any of the following 7 places:
RK Puram Police Station, Sector 12
Teen Murthy Traffic lines, Mother Teresa crescent
Office of DCP Traffic northern region, Court Road
Shakarpur Police Station
Keshav Puram Police Station
Traffic training park
Office of DCP Traffic Southern region, Sadiq nagar
While the first 3 addresses accept the fine either in Cash or by Cheque, the last 4 addresses only accept the fine by Cheque
All cheques should be addressed to DCP Traffic Delhi.
Take the Challan notice with you while paying the fine.
Note: Not responding to the notice may lead to a case in the court.
Before paying the fine, you must also know what is the actual fine amount mentioned in the Acts book to verify if the amount is correct. Some regular fine’s encountered are:
Triple riding, Signal Jumping, driving without Helmet, Number plate not according to rule: Rs.100
No License: Rs.500
Talking while driving: Rs.1000
