Any one who tried logging into their Axis Bank Internet Banking accounts from 3 December 2010, would have seen that the site is completely redesigned from top to bottom. More frequently accessed things, like Funds transfers, Utility Bill payments, Statement, Cheque book request and Recharge Prepaid mobile are brought up into the first screen immediately after you login to your account, .
Previously, Axis Bank’s internet banking site, though did not miss any feature, used to be a badly designed one, probably one of the worst UI among the Indian Banks. But with this new design, it makes it so easy to find things that need more attention and thus makes it on par with the best in the business. All your personal things like your profile, Mails and Customer Support have found a place at the top of the screen, which is nice to see.
This completely new designed site could make you a bit dubious about the site. Don’t be embarrassed if you’ve double checked to see if it was indeed Axis Bank’s internet Banking site or not :p
Perhaps, it would have been nice if the Bank has informed their customer’s via email or SMS that the new design was coming.
