APGENCO has issued a recruitment notification for recruitment of 350 Sub Engineers. Here are details of written test format, Syllabus for the test and Selection process.
Selection Process and Syllabus
The selection process consists of a single stage written test consisting of 100 Questions of 1 mark each. However, for merit ranking, marks will be proportionate to a maximum of 50 marks in the written test (in simply words, the marks will be halved).
The written test consists of 2 Sections, Section A deals with questions from the respective Diploma subject and Section B will have Questions on Power plant.
General candidates need to score at least 40% (35% for OBC and 30% for SC/ST/PH) in the written test to be eligible for merit ranking.
Final merit list will be prepared for a maximum of 100 marks, out of which 50 marks are from written test. The rest 50 marks will be evaluated as follows:
Maximum of 30 marks for your marks scored in Diploma (your diploma marks x 30/ Total Diploma marks)
Maximum of 10 marks for Qualifying exam.
Maximum of 10 marks if you have at least 6 months service experience in APGENCO (5 marks for experience less than 6 months)
A final merit list will be prepared by scoring candidates in descending order according to their marks secured in written test and the above 3 points.
All candidates who’ve applied for the notification will have to download Hall tickets (Call letters or Admit cards) from APGENCO website. The same will be available at least 10 days before the written test date, which will be informed later.
The written test will be conducted at Hyderabad and Secunderabad only.
Previous sample papers, if any, will be available on APGENCO’s website before the written test.
