If you are a Vijaya Bank customer, here’s how you use its Mobile Banking Software to perform Banking Transactions using your GPRS enabled Mobile phone (You may also see SBI Mobile banking and Axis Bank mobile banking)
First, customers have to go through a one time registration process by visiting any Vijaya Bank ATM.
Insert your card and enter your PIN. The select ‘Mobile Banking Registration’ and enter your Mobile number. If asked again, enter you Mobile number again to confirm.
Then select if your account is ‘Savings’ or ‘Current’.
If the process is successful, you will receive a success message one screen and on the transaction receipt.
You’ll also receive two passwords on the Mobile number which you’ve entered along with a link to download the Mobile Banking application. One is the application password and the other is the activation password called Mpin.
Download the application by visiting the link from your mobile or through computer (and then transfer it to mobile). Different mobiles such as Nokia, Samsung etc will have different applications so choose the appropriate app.
Open the application and enter each password as asked and changed them to something that you’d remember.
Then, your V Mobile banking application is set up and you can do the following things using the app:
Balance enquiry
Mini Statement
Request your bank for new Cheque book, A/C Statement, Fixed deposit, Loan, Credit card, New Account (in the same branch).
Funds transfer (maximum limit is Rs.5000 per day and 3 transfers per day)
Services like Bill payments, Airline ticketing, Mobile recharge, movie ticket booking, making donations to Temple trusts etc.
Update: Vijaya Bank’s mobile application V Mobile is now available as a dedicated app for Android, Blackberry and Windows phones. Users can search in their respective stores and download the app. To authenticate your app on first usage, the app needs to send an SMS (Rs.1.50). This is a one time process (if you uninstall and install again; again an SMS needs to be sent).
Vijaya Bank SMS Alerts
Like SBI SMS alerts, you can get SMS alerts (and email alerts too) for certain transactions like account deposit and withdrawal, Cheque deposit etc. These transaction alerts will be sent when the amount involved is greater than Rs.3000 (this may change in future). To get SMS alerts, you can login to your Vijaya Bank Internet banking account or visit any Vijaya Bank ATM along with your mobile and ATM card or download this application form and submit it to your branch. SMS alerts is provided for free by the bank.
