Samsung Galaxy S TV Out Cable

by Eric on September 6, 2010

If you’re wondering where is the TV Out Cable in your Samsung Galaxy S box, the universal word is that Samsung doesn’t provide a TV Out cable along with the package. If you need it, you can either buy it from the Samsung Online Store or from General Web Stores like eBay or Amazon. Most likely, you would already have a TV out cable with you that you might have used with your previous mobile (?).

Any cable that has a 3.5mm pin at one end and three coloured cable pins at the other end (Red, White/Green and Yellow) would work with Galaxy S too. I similarly used a TV Cable that I had with my previous Nokia device (5800) and it worked without any issue (be sure that you’ve enabled TV Out setting in the Galaxy S). These can be obtained really cheaply, at about $5-6.

If you have a Hi Def TV and want to view Hi Def videos through Galaxy S, you may need to buy a Micro USB to HDMI cable that Samsung officially sells for $49.99 (via Samsung Mobiles US Store).

If you are new to TV Out feature, it is simply a feature that let’s you view your Mobile screen on a TV Screen. Everything action you perform on your device can be seen on the TV when connected.

You can play games, play video’s, see pictures, search the Internet, YouTube …….

If you have an Airtel (India) connection, you might want to see Galaxy S Airtel APN settings.
