As said before, the GHMC has come up with further information on how the voters can know their polling booths address for the upcoming Greater Hyderabad elections.
Voters can search for the information in 3 ways, website search, calling a helpline number and search using an SMS.
To search using the website method, one needs to visit this website and enter his voter ID card number in the field and click on search. If you still don’t have your voter ID card, you can search by using your House number or your name (but both these methods take a lot of time).
Remember that having your name in the electoral rolls is what is necessary to cast your vote. Even if you don’t have voter ID card, you can produce other Government issued identity cards for proof.
You can also call the number 23326982 or the toll free number 155304 to know your polling booth address.
If you have your voter ID number or your house number ready, you can search by sending a simple SMS to 56677.
Type GHMC<space>Voter ID number and send it to 56677.
For example GHMC KKR559920 and send it to 56677.
Similarly, you can also type your house number in the above format replacing the Voter ID number with your house number and sending it to 56677.
Premium SMS charges may apply when you send an SMS to 56677.
When you send an SMS as above, in reply, you’d get your constituency number, the serial number and the polling booth address.
