A good alternative to the wired DSL Broadband is to go for a USB Data card. Various companies offer 3G/HSDPA USB Data cards such as Tata Docomo 3G e-Stick or Reliance NetConnect 3G Data card. Or, you can also buy any 3 rd party USB Modem such as those from Micromax or Huawei and subscribe to some 3G data plan from your telecom service provider.
As you may have observed, to use Broadband through a USB Modem, one has to purchase a data card (USB Modem) and also subscribe to a service plan. But, few companies provide data cards for free when you provide a pre-payment for few months in advance.
MTS, offering its MBlaze Hi speed mobile internet service, is similarly offering its MBlaze data card for free if you subscribe to any of its plans for at least 3 months in advance. For your convenience, here are two plans (one for 3GB Data per month and other ofr 6GB at high speed) that you can subscribe for:
MBlazer ARP 3GB: Rs.2097 (upfront payment for 3 month gives you 3GB data per month; additional usage charged at 40ps/MB; post 3 months, plan charged at Rs.699 plus taxes per month)
MBlazer ARP 6GB: Rs.2397 (upfront payment for 3 months for 6GB data at high speed for month; unlimited usage over 6GB at low speeds; post 3 months, charges of Rs.799 plus taxes are applicable)
