Of all the Micromax stuff that we reviewed here, the new Micromax Q6 has to be the most ‘badly designed’ phone. It is a slider type of mobile with full Qwerty keypad but has a Small screen (6 cms display), so I’m not sure how comfortable users will be when typing using the slide out keypad. All the other stuff is pretty normal. Q6 obviously comes after the Q5 series and hence caries all the features that Q5 or its predecessors had, except for the form factor.
Just looking generally, it feels like Micromax doesn’t have much interest on this phone and as TV commercials still run for Micromax Q5 or the latest Q7 Wifi (Ya, I’m seeing the Ind-SL test series and I find Q6 some where in the background on boards), but not once I saw for Q6 Slider.
It’s a Dual GSM mobile with 2MP camera, preloaded with Opera mini, Facebook and Nimbuzz. It has music player and a video player and supports Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, WAP and MMS.
A phone book memory of 1000 contacts and SMS memory of 1000 sweet messages is all it can store besides the expandable external memory up to 8GB using a MicroSD card.
Don’t ask me whether you can Install themes, use mp3 songs as Ringtones, install any Java Game or applications as the possibilities are extremely limited. Mostly, you are left with what it comes pre loaded until you can find a compatible Application.

hey all of u not worry how to connect ph to pc to use internet its so easy just do one thing insert the cd and explore it next select micromax q6 option and now click it on pc suite (application) u will get a yellow screen now minimize the this screen and go back to where u have started it now select instal driver option(application) u will get a message but dont click it on exit option on the message and now click it on yellow screen, on left side u select setting option .again select create new connection option .choose u r sim network and click below it create option now select dial-up option and select sim (1 or 2) in which data pack is activated the last step click below dial option now u can access internet on u r pc …….. use tata docomo its fast………………………………..plz help all i’m not able to download any thing
i’m vaibhav, i download a new micromax Q6 mobile, pre-installed facebook and snaptu is not working, not able to watch youtube videos in mobile. Tell about the connectivity of Q6 to computer. I have window 7 64bit, downloaded micromax mobile drivers and phone suite but still not able to connect with computer.
If anybody know how to connect, Please tell me.

hai , now i purchased the MM Q6 phone. it’s Internet connections is available. first u install the modem cd. and go to ur pc control panel & click phone -modem option then click modem option and select ur modem name&continue double click and select diagnostics option and click query modem.and now modem is installed properly.NOTE: select ur COM port COM16.

Just get pc suit from service center then install USB driver and copy pc suit 2 ur pc. after that u definitely connect ur mobile to ur pc.

I found this phone quite good. web browsing in this phone is a great experience. downloading speed is also very good. Presently, i have 20 application in my phone, which i have download from various sites. all of them work. don’t think it supports themes. I have connected it to my pc with the help of pc suite & did browsing the web, messaging & sharing files. all jobs done with pleasure.

U insert the modem settings in ur pc related to sim and activate gprs facility in ur phone. then u recharge the internet plan nd easily access internet on ur pc.
connect phon to pc—>run pc suit—>select settings on pc suit—>general—>select the last COM port
then u will b connected….
I tried my level best to connect my micromax Q6 to PC, but I could not succeed. Mr. Krishanu ji, please let me know whether my pc requires Lotus Notes software to connect phone to pc. Regards. Ravi
ya micromax Q6 is pretty phone,i was purchase it before 10 days when i was saw it in d backscreen of cricket seris and i did feel to take this one,and now m using that with all application which are present in phone
