There’s nothing new in the fact that Dell Laptop Batteries, or for that matter, any Battery will have a life time, after which it slowly begins to underperform and finally become useless. But this time, it looked like my Dell AC Adaptor too had some life time; it completely became useless yesterday; 4 month after my Dell battery became useless.
The blue light near the end of the cord (may not be there on all cords) wouldn’t glow at all when the Power is switched ON. But, it glows (slightly) when inserted into the Laptop port, as if the power is flowing reverse, from Laptop into the Adaptor.
The laptop wasn’t getting charged at this time, obviously. The Battery had about 40% of charge left that would come for over an Hour. For a person like me, if there is no laptop, life wouldn’t go ahead, sigh.
If I order online, it would be delivered at least 4-5 days later, which, I really can’t afford. I immediately set out on a task of finding one AC Adaptor some where and I found it rather easily.
It was a original Dell AC Adaptor (90 W, PA – 10 Family). The seller said it would be compatible with my Studio 1555 model.
The Adaptor, with the power cord cost Rs.2100 and yes, it was compatible with Studio 1555.
