Beam Telecom; we talked about it long ago when the service was just launched. Yes, it’s that provider from Hyderabad that brings along a ‘fibre’ to your house to provide high speed internet.
A lot of things have changed by now, including its name, which is now called ‘Beam Fibre’ and one has to say, those changes are for good. The tariffs are as good as any in the Industry. Unlimited plans start from as less as Rs.400 a month to as much as Rs.2500 providing speeds of 256kbps and 6Mbps respectively (see Airtel 4Mbps Broadband plan).
In between, there are Rs.850, Rs.1000 and Rs.1500 monthly plans providing you unlimited data at speeds of 1 Mbps, 2 Mbps and 4 Mbps respectively.
Once you try the service for few months and are satisfied with the performance, you may consider committing yourself for 6 months, 1 year or 2 years, for which you’ll (obviously) get discounts.
As with any provider, fair usage policy will be applicable for any unlimited plan, but at Beam fibre, they are fairly reasonable.
If you are not that much of an Internet user, there are data capped plans too, with speeds starting from a minimum of 2 Mbps.
For Rs.300 a month, you’ll get 1.5GB data at 2 Mbps
Similarly, for Rs.600 a month, you’ll get 4GB data at 4Mbps
For Rs.850, you get 8GB at 4Mbps and for Rs.1000 a month, 10GB Data at 6Mbps speed is all yours.
