A little late but keeping up with other banks’ is Bank of Baroda by introducing its Mobile Banking application called Baroda M-Connect. The application is not an advanced one like Axis Bank or HDFC Bank which works on leading Mobile platforms like Android and iPhone, but just a Java based app. Hence, most Nokia phones and phones of Indian Manufacturers that support Java should be able to run the application. Fortunately, there is also a dedicated app for Windows Mobile platform.
Like other mobile banking platforms (see SBI Mobile banking, Axis Bank mobile banking app), you have to first register for Mobile banking services then install the application in your phone to get started.
To register, please visit any Bank of Baroda ATM or visit your branch. If you have an ATM card, it’s a simple process at the ATM centre. Just visit the Mobile Banking section and enter your mobile number to register for the service.
You will receive a password that you will need to use the app on your phone.
Once registration is complete, you can download the application and install it.
Open the application as a first time user and enter the password you received as SMS. You may be required to change this password on first login.
Please note that you will need gprs/edge/3g enabled handset to use Mobile Banking service.
By using this app, you can get your balance, see recent transactions, transfer funds, request cheque book etc.
