Here is a new offering from Airtel for its Broadband customers. Until now, for those of you who has limited plans, for any usage above the limited data, you will be charged at 20ps/MB. From now, under the ‘Smartbyte’ plan, you can choose to have additional data added to your monthly usage (for the remaining days in that month) instead of being charged as per usage.
According to Smart Byte scheme, you can choose from various plans starting from Rs.99 for 1GB to Rs.1499 for additional 50GB of data.
Note: Smart byte can also be used for Speed limited plans where broadband speed will be limited after certain usage. For example, in the Rs.999 plan, you get 10GB data a 2Mbps and any usage over that will be at 256Kbps. Now if you’re in this plan and get over 10GB in any month, instead of surfing at 256Kbps, you can choose any Smart byte plan and surf at your regular speed of 2Mbps.
