We earlier saw various Airtel 3G tariff plans that were announced for Bangalore. There was a plan there called ‘FlexiShield’ that is a bit confusing. So here were are, with a little Official help from Airtel, with more details about that plan.
The FlexiShield plan is applicable for both prepaid and postpaid subscribers. Once you recharge with Rs.675, under FlexiShield plan, you get 1.25GB of data with 1 month validity. After 1.25 GB (with in that 1 month validity period), if you continue to use Airtel 3G, you will be charged on browsing basis at a rate of 1ps/ 100KB until you reach a cap (shield) of Rs.2000. Till you reach this shield, your browsing speed will be in full throttle (3G Speed).
What we’ve known from Airtel is that, you nearly get 14GB of Data at 3G Speed until you reach Rs.2000 cap.
In even simpler words, if you use Flexi Shield plan Non-stop, you will be charged Rs.2000 per month for nearly 14 GB Data at 3G Speed.
If you still continue browsing, you can browse unlimited data for free at 20kbps till the 30 day validity period expires.
Similar plan in Tata Docomo 3G, where you get 15 GB Data for Rs.2001 a month, presented in a twisted way is what Airtel FlexiShield plan is.
