Google’s Uncle Sam searches only the Government websites

Google Uncle Sam is a great tool for people living in the United States for finding Government related information. While Google.com searches the entire web for the required information, Uncle Sam only brings information from the official US government websites, restricting the long navigation before landing on the right page otherwise. For example, if you make a search for ‘employment usa’ in Google.com, some 3rd party website turns up first whose authenticity is questionable. Where as if you make the search in Google Uncle Sam, the site that turns up first is www.usajobs.com followed by other USA governments employment related websites.
Uncle Sam covers almost all USA’s official websites that end with either .gov or .mil. There was an issue earlier on when Uncle Sam was launched that the extensions other than the 2 mentioned above weren’t included in the Uncle Sam’s database. Some critical websites like National Defense University which has an extension of .edu was missing. Google seems to have made the necessary changes and now all possible and existing US government websites are included in the DB.
Bookmark Uncle Sam now as there will not be many links pointing to it.
