Videocon mobile services, the latest entrant into the already crowded GSM market, has started offering Unlimited Mobile Internet plans. Now, don’t say ‘everyone offers that!’. Yes, sure almost every GSM operator offers Unlimited Mobile Internet plans sans Vodafone, but those are only limited or capped at some level. For example, Airtel Mobile Office Data plan offers 2GB at Rs.98 per month where as Tata Docomo offers Mobile Internet Data plan of 6GB at Rs.98 but still those are advertised as Unlimited Data plans (with a * mark). There are also Unlimited Mobile internet plans from Reliance and very recently, Uninor and BSNL too began offering the data service.
Coming to Videocon, at least from the way it is advertising it’s Unlimited Mobile Internet plans, it looks like there are no * marks. That is, the plans are truly Unlimited and there are no conditions applicable.
If you have Videocon Mobile services in your area, you can get this plan at Rs.96 per month. A rebated bulk plan is also available at Rs.251 for 3 months, unlimited each month. Also, a small Unlimited Internet plan for 3 days is available at Rs.13. Without any of these data plans, normal browsing tariff remains 10ps/10kb
The speed (remember, its 2G) should be greater than big boys like Airtel or Reliance, since the network isn’t that crowded, yet.
