Yesterday was a hectic day for me, had to travel all across Hyderabad for a small service that I do sometimes. I hate to work when I go out but thanks to Tikona, which kept me offering free Wifi at almost all places that I visited in Hyderabad, that I was tempted to log in to my work email and reply to the mails.
Lol, forget Wifi hacking applications in your computer, I could access the Wifi from my mobile phone. It tells me that the Tikona network is very un-secure. We wrote an introductory article on Tikona when we heard about the service for the first time and this is only my first encounter with the ‘real network’. I don’t know if the Wifi was kept for public for free or a private network which forgot to keep a security password and I also don’t know what the speeds of that network are. But one thing I can say is that the speed is awfully slow, only slightly faster than my Airtel EDGE speed.
On the other post on Tikona that I mentioned a while ago, all the comments that we received were against the service. Now one should understand that some of those comments could have been from its competitors but since I experienced the service first hand now, I could add my comment to it ‘its no better’.
Now that I logged in to my work email from an insecure network, I immediately changed the password when I was back home (Not that password can be seen by any one, its an encrypted login page, but still….)

I have called so many time in Tikona call centre but none has understood my problem in such better way then him. This person has understand my problem and solved my problem with resolution .He is very genuine person. This person is working very good and doing his job smartly. Request you to appreciate him and promote him. This person has taken my follow-up and he gave me call back and solved my problem. He is very much dedicated to his work. Request you to tell HR to keep this person as Role model and recruit Agents.
Guys, this tikona things sucks. I was trying to get add on from them, so i called up tikona care , they told that it will be installed in 48 hrs. But after waiting for 4 days, i again called customer care, now they assure me that it will be done till evening. Again there is no confirmation for 2 days. Now i again called them , now they told me that there was a shortage of wifi routers, now these are available so it will get installed at your home till 10 pm. At last i did wait 1 more day, again there is confirmation from this [edited] service provider. So when i got frustrated from these guys i just told them that please cancel my request i have given for wi fi router. Now one interesting thing, they add monthly rental in my bill regarding wi fi router. [edited] how the hell these guys can add rental when that service is not been given.
There is network issue all the time.
i would say its good…it gives the speed according to ur plan…using from last TWO yrs

Every connection you are is like this in India, even I am using airtel for 2MBPS never cross the speed of 128KPBS
The problem is, you have a 2 Mbps Airtel connection and get 128 MBps (which is 1 Mbps). There’s a difference there.
Getting 1Mbps for 2Mbps plan is Okay.
Tikona wireless broadband is excellent service. I have 2mbps plan, whenver I download any file I get more than 2mbps speed. But surfing speed is average. i think this is due to my slow PC, I have only ram of 256mb. Overall Tikona is excellent.

I have purchase tickona broad band connection & 100 mb free . but I have used below than 100 mb But you bill showing used Mb is more than 100 mb & asked me to pay the same immeditely , No body has ready to accapt my complaint I have stopped using this connection from last 3 mohts but you have send bill for all three moths this is very surprice, my nos is 1100655731

dont even bother thinking about tikona. I was once in its 4mbps plan where I never got more than 200 kbps
Tikona wifi has the worst speed in the world. Better to use normal cable brodband like airtel or bsnl
