After the Dual sim craziness, it now looks like the trend has shifted towards cheap qwerty devices that imitate (try to) the business class mobile, Blackberry.
Micromax could well be the reigning leader in this category with Q3 being a huge success initially and now Q5, which is also showing good results. Other players are not that behind Micromax, with Karbonn having K10 qwerty device in its armoury.
A relatively new entrant (in India), Simoco mobiles is also trying to encash this hot market by introducing its new device Q-t, a Dual sim Qwerty phone.
Simoco Q-t mobiles features
This mobile has a total of 48 keys to roll your fingers. One thing I liked in this one is the dedicated keys provided for FM, MP3 player and camera. Unlike others where you find these to be on the side of the phones, you have these 3 keys embedded in the keypad, either side of the navigation button.
Following the trend, you have Facebook social networking inbuilt in Q-t. The phone book memory can store 1000 contacts.
Q-t has a wap browser (not a html browser) and GPRS and Bluetooth as other connectivity choices.
Memory can be increased by adding an external T Flash memory.
Q-t is priced at Rs.3449.
