Ministry of HRD, Government of India, under the ‘Central sector scheme of scholarships for college and University Students’ has announced the program for the 2009-10 academic season to allot scholarships to provisionally selected students.
Students who are in their first year of either professional course or normal Degree course can apply to this scholarship if they satisfy the following conditions:
The shortlisting will be based on the IPE marks released in March 2009.
You must have scored a minimum of 80% marks in Intermediate, IPE 2009.
The parental income should not exceed 4.5 lakhs per annum.
You should be currently pursuing first year regular course in any recognized Institute or a University.
You should not avail any other Scholarship currently.
Under the above mentioned program, the Government of India has allotted 6097 scholarships for Andhra Pradesh State.
The Scholarships are as follows:
Rs.1000 per month for 3 years (for regular and professional degree courses)
Rs.2000 per month for 4t and 5th year for professional degree and PG for 10 months in an academic year.
2.5 times the number of scholarships available to AP state have been provisionally selected to receive the scholarships.
You can see the list of selected students by visiting this page and can also download the application form if your name is present in the list.
If your name exists, to avail the scholarship you should forward the application form through the principal of the Degree college where you are currently pursuing your Degree to ‘Secretary, BIE AP, Nampally, Hyderabad’ before the last date 25.11.2009.

I had completed my intermediate in 2011 and secured 971 marks in it with MPC group. So i got a chance to apply for central merit scholarship . I used it and applied for it with all particulars mentioned in it . i created an account in andhra bank.
