State Bank group mobile banking services

State Bank of Hyderabad, the largest bank of the associate banks of SBI, now provides the facility of banking on your finger tips. SBH Introduces SBH Explore, a new way to bank. All you have to do is download an application and start using your bank account from your mobile phone, any time any where.

(Other State bank group banks including the parent SBI also has this facility and the procedure to obtain the service is same for all)

All you have to have is an active savings/current account in any branch of SBH and a Java enabled handset (which means that your mobile can run applications designed using Java). To use the services first you need to send an SMS as follows

MBSREG mobile make model no and send it to 567676.

For example, type MBSREG Nokia 5800 and send it to the above number (premium SMS charges will be applicable)

An immediate reply would come giving you a link to download the application and a userID and a password (MPIN).

Simply follow that links and download the application (189kb). If you do not have GPRS plans, you can download the application from your computer by typing http://mobile.prepaidsbi.com/sbidownloader/downloadapp.jsp in the browsers address bar and then transferring the application to your mobile using a Bluetooth dongle or a data cable (Note that you’ll still need to send an SMS to 567676 to get your user name and password).

After Installing the application, you just have to visit any State Bank ATM near by and register for mobile banking services.

Swipe your card once, select services and then choose mobile banking and click on register. Enter your mobile number twice and you have your Bank account at your finger tips.

From now you can simple check your account balance, or see a mini statement, do funds transfer, recharge mobile, pay your utility bills and do a lot more.
