Sakshi TV, telugu news channel

Sakshi news channel (Sakshi TV) is a telugu news channel broadcasting its news in Andhra Pradesh and else where in the World. It is the first of its kind news channel in Andhra Pradesh that uses Latest-technology High definition video streaming. It is also the first channel to deploy Hi-Definition DSNG vans.

Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, son of Andhra Pradesh CM Mr.YS Raja sekhara reddy, now MP from Kadapa is the chairman of Sakshi TV. Apart from the Sakshi TV, there is also a print media version of Sakshi TV, called Sakshi news paper which claims to be the largest circulated news paper in Andhra Pradesh.

Prior to the launch of Sakshi TV, there were other news channels like ETV2, TV9, NTV, TV5, Gemini news in Andhra Pradesh. So Sakshi TV becomes the 6^th 24 hour news channel to be launched in Andhra Pradesh. It was followed by a host of other news channels like I news, HMTV, Studio N, Mahaa TV and Zee 24 Ghantalu. These will shortly be followed by a news channel from Andhra Jyothi news paper and a 24 hour telugu news channel from British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC.

The technology Sakshi TV uses was evident in the recently concluded elections, when it was the only one that gave the projection that Congress would have a comfortable majority while every other channel were either projecting a close battle between Congress party and Grand Alliance or Giving Grand Alliance the lead.

The result was that the Congress party won the polls by a convincing margin.
