Is RBI introducing a new 10 rupee coin? There is no official word yet but this has become the latest buzz in India. The likely design of the coin is also on the go. It is similar in look as the new 2 rupee coin introduced couple of years ago. It may be plan to get rid of the old half torn ten rupee notes circulating around. Clearly a coin will be easy to use than a note in any occasion.
Rumors are also circulating that these 10 rupee coins are only a limited edition and are available in some auction websites. There are two editions of these coins, one a reflection of Unity in diversity and other reflecting Information Technology development in India.
