Nat Geo channel in Telugu from August 1st

Come August 1^st, and all the Telugu speaking people can enjoy their favourite channel National Geographic in their language. Discovery and National Geographic channels are the two most popular Non-fictional channels in India that people love to watch, although Discovery enjoys a convincing lead over Nat Geo. Both these channels are concentrating seriously on localizing their channels and hence these introductions. Hindi language has been available from a long ago and very recently, Tamil language was also added. Now with the addition of Telugu, Nat Geo is sure to increase its presence in AP.

Naga Chaitanya was seen promoting this move on Nat Geo since a week or so.

How to get Nat Geo in Telugu?

If you have a DTH service, like Tata Sky, at your home, you can simply use your DTH remote and change the language as per your wish. For example, if you are using Tata Sky, press the green button to get the language menu and change the language to telugu, when your watching Nat Geo channel.

You can also change your language at your wish if you have a simple set top box such as Hathway’s STB.

If you are using a normal cable service, you are left to the choice of your cable service provider. Normally, cable service providers allocate a particular time for regional languages to air programs in different languages available. If everyone in your locality agree to a common language, you may request your service provider to make Telugu as the default language.

Note that the default English language of all programs will only be dubbed into Telugu and that there will no exclusive Telugu programs on Nat Geo.
