SBI Gold Coins Prices

State Bank of India (SBI), the largest Bank in India offers attractive Gold coins for personal investment for their customers. Similar to SBH Gold coins, SBI only sells the Gold coins but does not buy the coins back. SBI Offers Gold coins of the following denominations:

2 gm, 4 gm, 5 gm, 8 gm, 10 gm, 20 gm and 50 gms.

Up to 10 gms, Gold is sold in the form of Coins, while for larger weights like 20 gms and 50 gms, it’ll be sold in the form if rectangular shape, call them Gold Biscuit.

All Gold coins/ Biscuits come with at most quality assurance and are 999.99 pure with Assay certification and are packed in a tamper proof package.

Prices of these coins and Biscuits depend on the daily trade rate of Gold in the markets. As on the day writing this article (27 October 2010), the prices are as follow:

2 gm Coin: Rs.4320

4 gm Coin: Rs.8480

5 gm Coin: Rs.10655

10 gm Coin: Rs.21165

20 gm Coin: Rs.41820

50 gm Coin: Rs.103740

  2. Gold Coins selling is only available in SBI. If there is buying counters in the SBI may attracts more consumers/buyers. They may fix rates for buying process. If not buying then no use of selling Gold in Banks like giving loans and getting deposits.
