Are you waiting to see your EPF claim amount in your account now that you are retired from the service or changed the job? Here is some good news. You no longer have to wait month’s long, get the cheque and then wait another week for it to be cleared. Employee provident fund Office, the firm that looks over the matters related to EPF has announced that it will now process all EPF claims through electronic transfers (e payment). From now on all you need to do to get your claim amount to your account with in 2 days is ‘mention a proper working bank account with IFSC code, if required, at the time of claim’.
EPFO has made arrangements with nearly 95 banks and around 67000 branches across the country with NEFT facilities to make this possible.
Earlier, the only way to track the EPF status was to use the claim number and check it with the EPFO website. Note that this only shows result if you have submitted all valid claim documents.
Alternatively, if you just want to check your EPF balance you can contact your respective employer.
In case of Public Provident fund that are opened or transferred to SBI, you can view your contribution/balance by just logging into your State Bank of India online banking account (Internet Banking).

I am Rekha, when i checked my PF status through online, its showing that PF is settled & payment sent through NEFT. What does it mean and i dint any get any information whether it got credited to my account or not. When can i receive my PF amount after getting such message.
Are there any dates mentioned? It normally should not take more than 2 working days for a NEFT transaction to get completed. If its more than 2 days, it could either mean the status is update but the NEFT process is not initiated yet from their end or there could be some other problem.
No dates are not mentioned, when today only I checked it showed me that payment sent trough NEFT. Can you please help me with this message.
Ok, no problem. Just wait till this thursday or friday and check your bank account (the account which you’ve linked with PF account). The money should be there.

Can you please explain What is meaning for above message? Cheque is going to bank directly or will i receive cheque to address? And how many more day will take to receive? Kindly update.
Claims these days are made through electronic transfer for all those members who have their bank account number registered with EPFO. But since it has been mentioned that your claim amount is sent through cheque, you will receive it at your residential address. Generally, it takes up to 2 weeks.

How many days has it been? It may sometimes take 2-3 days for the amount to appear in your bank account.

Its been a month now that it shows it is settled. Also I had given them a cancelled cheque. What should I do next ? It was updated in the first week of march on PF site.
Sorry to hear that. There’s a grievance’ management portal where you can register your complaint. It will/should be addressed with in a week.

After you deposit the cheque in a bank, it will get cleared in 3-4 days at max.

I have my pf not yet withdrawn from my previous employer.. Say around 5 years by now. I wanted to get that drawn as there will not be any interest paid anymore by pf lads after 3 years.
Would like to know what’s the best approach?
1) Do I need to get the pf forms duly stamped by my prev employer and submit it online?
2) is the online approach applicable to all the states in India.. I heard its not?

If you are currently working with another employer, I’d advise you to ‘transfer’ the old PF funds to your new PF account. Either way, you have to approach your old employer and fill form 13 (in case of transfer of PF) or form 19 (if you have retired, to withdraw funds). Your previous employer will forward the application to the concerned EPFO for processing.
I have got a message from bz-epf that your claim so & so received on 04.10.2012 & claim under process, then another msg approved payment through cheque, payment under process got on 10.10.2012, so i want to know when my payment credited in my a/c.

From the second message it looks like you will be paid through a cheque?
It will take some time (1 to 2 weeks) to receive the cheque.

There’s no fixed time frame. It can take any where from 2 weeks to 3 months, sometimes even more. But since the payment is made electronically these days, your payment will be received in your bank account as soon as it is accepted.

I am handling PF trust of our company…..my query is, since the time the NEFT process started for transferring money, as an employer i don’t get to know for whose transfer case we are getting money in our bank as PF office is not that efficient in sending Annexure-K to us (current employer). Also, we tried seeking information from our bankers, but we hardly get any clue out of the data they provide….do you suggest any better way to understand the same……urgent please
Ohh, I am not sure, but may be there will be some mention of the ‘from address’ if you check your bank statements online?
For example, if my account receives some money from a person, his name will be mentioned in the bank transfer description.
