Godrej Locks, as you may know is the front runner in providing security solutions for various needs. The solutions are specialized to various verticals such as Households, Banks, Hospitals, Electronic equipments, Offices, IT/ITES, Diary, Hotels and many more. Here, I’ll only discuss about the most commonly referred locks of Godrej, the Locks for household (home) doors.
Security Levels
The security levels are divided into 5 by Godrej and by all means, Level 2 locks (at the most level 3) should be the best suited one’s for the doors in the households.
The locks under Level 2 (commonly referred as Godrej Ultra locks) are further divided in various types such as Ultra Padlocks, Ultra furniture locks, Ultra Rim, Ultra Mortise, Cylindrical locks and Ultra shutter locks.

Among the Level 2 locks, the Ultra Rim type is the most widely used lock which further has different variations like Ultra Vertibolt, Ultra Nightlatch, Ultra Retrofit Adaptor, Ultra Latchbolt, Ultra Twin bolt and Ultra Tribolt.
All level 2 keys use the Dimple key technology which provides 10 crore key combinations making extremely difficult (read impossible) to duplicate the dimples.
Level 3 keys are the upgraded version of Level 2 Ultra keys, which beside being easy to install and upgrade, provide almost 200 crore key combinations.
These can be used for Main doors for houses, inner rooms’ doors, Shutters, Wardrobe doors, wooden and steel doors, sliding doors etc.
Godrej Ultra locks price
Ultra Padlocks: The cheapest version in this type is the Killa lock priced at Rs.700 and the top end version is the Dual Access Padlock (Blister) priced at Rs.2000.
Ultra furniture locks: Range from Rs.400 to Rs.600
Ultra Shutter locks: Range from Rs.2200 to Rs.5000
Ultra Rim type locks
Ultra Verti bolt: Range from Rs.1195 to Rs.1400
Ultra Night latch: Range from Rs.1950 to Rs.2300
Ultra Twin bolt: Range from Rs.1225 to Rs.1600
Ultra Latch bolt: Range from Rs.975 to Rs.1250
Ultra Tri bolt: Range from Rs.1950 to 2050.
For all other locks except the locks under the Ultra group, there will be additional Fitting and visiting charges up to Rs.150.

After purchasing a TWIN BOLT LOCK, while carrying to the home the key has been lost on the road somewhere. How can i get new key for the same lock.

A godrej lock was fitted on my door on 24.06.2012. Unfortunately I turned the key on the wrong side and the key got twisted. while trying to get the key out the head got broken and the tail portion got stuck up in the lock. I made a complaint on 09.07.12 and got a register No.177663. I was told that the mechanic will call me within 2 working days. As the mechanic did not turn up yesterday, i.e. on 12.7.12 I called them again. I was shocked to hear that my complaint was not properly recorded and again they gave a new register No. today.178566 and promised to send a mechanic immediately. But today when I contacted they said that the mechanic will come within two working of complaint. I did not expect such bad response from a company like Godrej. Will you help me to get he lock, VERTIBOLT/1 CK, repaired today, 13.07.12 as already 5 days had passed since my first complaint.

I have installed Ultra Lock Tribolt lock in 2007 @ s. 800/- and recently I replaced the same where
I was charged Rs.2000/- which is too high. The same lock could have been repaired and replaced
at much lower cost. Now I feel that such products are to be rejected as we pay the money for their
promotional activities and not for actual service. Even though there is 7 year guarantee, at the end
the day service available is not satisfactory. Other smaller brands are much more reliable and does not pinch the pocket of end user.
